Color/Shape: Mature fruits are deep red and bumpy with a scorpion looking stinger on the end (appropriately so).
Fruit: Each plant will produce an average of 30 fruits, each measuring 2-3”.
Maturity: 90-100 days to fruit, additional days to fully ripen (which can be done after harvest).
Features: The Scoville Heat Units scale had to be increased in 2013 to accommodate this variety. 1,640,000-2,200,000 SHU. Developed by Ed Currie, the plants can grow 4’ tall and wide. The taste is described in the Guinness Book of World Records as: fruity sweet, immediately followed by the bite of ‘molten lava’. Gloves should be worn when handling any part of the fruits when ripe.
